The remakes are developed by ILCA, the development team behind the Pokémon online service Pokémon Home. The game will feature the full remake of the hit classic game with additional features added to support the new generations of Pokémon and mechanics such as Mega Evolutions, Gigantamaxing, Z-moves and many other gameplays not available in the original game.
The Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version are the original 2006 role-playing video games developed by Game Freak, published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. They are the first installments in the fourth generation of the Pokémon video game series which was first released in Japan on September 28, 2006, and worldwide in 2007. Pokémon Platinum, an updated version, was released two years later in each region.
The original games introduced the all-time favorite features, such as Internet play over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, changes to battle mechanics and Pokémon Contests. The games are among the most successful Pokémon games of all time with around 18 million units sold worldwide as of the latest record.
Pokémon is celebrating its month-long 25th anniversary that commences in February 27. New games and information will be revealed over the course of the celebration.
