A third promotional video has been released for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of TNSK's rakugo manga series My Master Has No Tail.
The anime will air on Sept. 30, 2022. It is animated by LIDENFILMS.
The series is set in the Taisho era and stars Mameda (CV: M.A.O), a tanuki (raccoon) girl who goes to Osaka to pursue her dream of becoming human. There, she meets the popular rakugo artist Bunko Daikokutei (CV: Hibiku Yamamura), who takes her in as an apprentice.
Rakugo (落語) is a form of Japanese verbal entertainment. A lone storyteller (rakugoka) sits on the stage called the kōza (高座), and using only a paper fan and a hand towel as props, recounts, without rising from his seat, a long and complicated comical story. The story is narrated as a conversation between two or more characters with the lone performer switching from one character to another.
The third PV also features the opening theme Genai Yuugi (幻愛遊戯) by GARNiDELiA.
