The official Twitter account for Hazano Kazutake's romantic comedy manga Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence (Romaji: Shiro Seijo to Kuro Bokushi) has announced that the series is receiving a TV anime adaptation.

There is no official release date as of writing, but the tweet below indicates the anime will be produced by studio Doga Kobo (Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun).

In this series, it is the job of Pastor Lawrence to guide people to visit the "Saint," a symbol of good morals who listens to the parishioners’ struggles and grants them sincere advice. Cecilia is assigned this important role, but she quickly tires of the job and instead finds ways to laze around, leaving Lawrence to handle most of the responsibilities. The two gradually form a comfortable and trusting bond.

Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence is a manga series written and illustrated by Hazano Kazutake. It has been serialized in Kodansha's Shonen Magazine R since 2017, and has also been serialized in the manga app Magazine Pocket since 2019. The English translation is licensed by Kodansha USA.

The TV anime announcement coincides with the release of the 10th tankobon volume of the manga, which will go on sale in Japan tomorrow, June 16, 2022.
