'Sasaki and Miyano' boys-love TV anime series reveals first visual, scheduled for 2022 release

The official Twitter for the TV anime adaptation of Shou Harusono's "Sasaki and Miyano (Sasaki to Miyano)" boys-love manga series has revealed on Tuesday the first key visual for the upcoming anime along with its 2022 release announcement. Studio DEEN is animating series.

The TV anime is animated by Studio DEEN with Shinji Ishihara serving as the series director and Takahiro Ueno as his assistant. Yoshiko Nakamura is writing the scripts and Maki Fujii is designing the characters. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in 2022.

The cast includes:

  • Yusuke Shirai as Shuumei Sasaki

  • Souma Saitou as Yoshikazu Miyano

  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Taiga Hirano

  • Yuuki Ono as Jirou Ogasawara

  • Yuuma Uchida as Masato Hanzawa

  • Ryohei Arai as Tasuku Kuresawa

Mitsuhiro Ichiki as Gonsaburō TashirSasaki and Miyano, known as "Sasamiya" is an ongoing shounen ai, slice of life manga series written and illustrated by Shou Harusono. Media Factory publishes its physical volume and it has been collected into 6 volumes as of November 2020. The series is updated roughly every month on Pixiv.


Synopsis from MAL:

Due to a fight that broke out on school grounds, Miyano, a fudanshi with a complex about his feminine face, catches the eye of a delinquent upperclassman named Sasaki. To Miyano's surprise, Sasaki shows an interest in Miyano's BL manga, and the two start a friendship.
