Soccer anime 'Ao Ashi' releases first PV for April 2022 broadcast

The first PV introduces the main cast along with the OP & ED themes.

The first promotional video is out for the TV anime adaptation of Yūgo Kobayashi's soccer manga series Ao Ashi (アオアシ).


The series airs on April 9, 2022 on NHK ETV. It is produced by Production I.G.

The original manga for Ao Ashi by Yūgo Kobayashi has been serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Weekly Big Comic Spirits since January 2015.


In 2020, the manga won the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award for the general category.


The first PV features protagonist Ashito Aoi (CV: Kōki Ohsuzu) and cast facing their first set of challenges at the Tokyo Esperion youth academy


The featured opening theme song is 「無心拍数」 (Unofficial English: Limitless Heartbeat) by Jrock band Alexandros. Meanwhile, the ending theme song is Blue Diary by Rinne (Rin音).

Synopsis

Ashito Aoi is a young, aspiring soccer player from a backwater town in Japan. His hopes of getting into a high school with a good soccer club are dashed when he causes an incident during a critical match for his team, which results in their loss and elimination from the tournament.
