Japanese Internet service provider SoftBank and Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen 0 have collaborated to bring the augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences to Jujutsu Kaisen fans in Japan.

Below is a commercial video promoting Softbank's mobile applications AR Square and VR Square. And is that Satoru Gojo as a...dog?

In AR Square, players can walk around the streets of Japan scanning Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie posters to unlock character dialogue. Meanwhile, VR Square will provide users with an immersive experience of Yuji Itadori's Black Flash attack plus Satoru Gojo's and Ryoumen Sukuna's Domain Expansions (Romaji: Ryouiki Tenkai, Japanese: 領域展開).

Unfortunately, AR Square and VR Square are not available outside Japan. But for now, we can enjoy the extended promotional video for the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film which premieres in Japan tomorrow, Dec. 24, 2021.

Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018. The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a sequel to Akutami's Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, serialized in Shueisha's Jump GIGA from April to July 2017, later collected in a tankōbon volume, as Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in December 2018. Jujutsu Kaisen is licensed for English-language release in North America by Viz Media.
