Synopsis by AniRadio:

According to the Live us official website, the story takes place on a version of Earth that was hit by an unusual global warming phenomenon, making it uninhabitable and forcing humans to live underground. Forced to live underground, AI become the substitute for creating entertainment, including music.

200 years after the phenomenon, the human race is able to return to the surface and an artist discovers the existence of "real music" created via live, human performances.

However, the abnormal weather phenomenon recurs, with people attributing the disaster to live performances, causing them to be banned once more. The 12 characters who are divided into their own musical units will now devote themselves to creating the long-forgotten form of human entertainment.
