Japanese band King Gnu (pronounced Kingu nū) graces our playlists with not one, but two catchy songs for Fall 2021.

The first song is the opening theme for the currently airing anime Ranking of Kings (Romaji: Ousama Ranking), titled BOY. It features an upbeat, playful tune that's perfect for conquering big adventures.

The second song is「一途」(English: The Only Way), the theme song for the highly anticipated anime film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which premieres on Dec. 24, 2022. This one has a frenetic feel that perfectly teases the epic battles that will star Yuta Okkotsu and cast.

About King Gnu

King Gnu is a Japanese band formed in 2013. The current members are Daiki Tsuneta (Vocalist & Guitarist), Satoru Iguchi (Vocalist & Keyboardist), Kazuki Arai (Bassist), and Yu Seki (Drummer). King Gnu debuted in 2013 with the band name Mrs.Vinci, which later changed to Srv.Vinci until they rebranded to King Gnu in 2017.

The year 2019 was significant for the band, as they won Best Video of the Year and Best New Artist Video for their song Hakujitsu (白日) at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards Japan. They also won the Excellence Album Award for their work Sympa at the 61st Japan Record Awards. Sympa was their first release under a major label after signing with Ariola Japan.
