'Spy Classroom' light novel series gets TV anime adaptation

A teaser video was released announcing its main cast and staff.

Spy Classroom, the Japanese light novel series written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari, has been announced on Sunday to receive a TV anime adaptation.

A teaser video was released announcing its main cast and staff. The broadcast date is yet to be revealed.

Animation studio .feel is animating the series with Keiichiro Kawaguchi directing the series. Shinichi Inozume is writing the scripts and Sumie Kinoshita is designing the characters.


The main cast includes:

  • Sora Amamiya as Lily

  • Yuichiro Umehara as Klaus

A teaser visual was released to commemorate the announcement.

More details will be revealed in the future.

About Spy Classroom

The Spy Classroom (Supai Kyoushitsu) series is based on the Japanese light novel series written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari of the same title. Also known as Spy Room, the first volume of the novel series was published by Fujimi Shobo under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint in January 2020. As of December 2021, six main series volumes and two short story volumes have been released.


The novel inspired manga adaptation with illustrations by Kaname Seu which began its serialization in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine in May 2020 and as of August 2021, its chapters have been collected into two tankōbon volumes.


On March 13, 2022, a TV anime adaptation has been announced for the series which is animated by animation studio .feel.
