The second season for the original net animation (ONA) series 'Tawawa on Monday' under the title 'Tawawa on Monday 2' has announced, during the first episode broadcast of the anime in Japan, that the short web anime is streaming outside Japan through Muse Asia and Crunchyroll. The anime is currently airing in Japan via ABEMA and is animated by Yokohama Animation Lab.
The series is based on the collection of illustrations drawn by Kiseki Himura which aims to provide a positive motivation towards workers and students alike on Monday mornings. The story focuses on the role of students and workers reflected through the characters Ai and the salaryman, respectively.
The first season of the anime was animated by Pine Jam and was aired from October to December 2016. It also inspired a manga adaptation which began in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine in November 2020.
The project which started out as colored blue monochrome illustrations was initially called Getsuyō Asa no Shachiku Shokei ni Tawawa o Otodokeshimasu ("I shall offer tawawa to our brothers in corporate slavery on Monday mornings") before Himura give its current name after the 46th illustration, and has since posted more than 200 illustrations.
