'Technoroid: Overmind' reveals teaser and main cast, airs July 2022

The original TV anime features music idol units bringing joy to people on a futuristic earth damaged by global warming.

Upcoming original TV anime Technoroid: Overmind has released a teaser video. It will air in July 2022 and is animated by studio Doga Kobo.


Technoroid is a mixed media project with original concepts by Noriyasu Agematsu, RUCCA, and Elements Garden. It is produced by CyberAgent in collaboration with Avex Pictures and Elements Garden.

The story is set in the future wherein global warming has melted the ice caps and submerged most of earth underwater.


The World Government has tasked robots and androids to take over jobs that would now be unsafe for humans. As humanity lives hidden from the sun, performers at the Entertainment Tower Babel sing and give them hope.

Synopsis

Technoroid: Overmind is set in the Entertainment Tower Babel, a new hope found by those who have lost the joy of light as humanity's activities are restricted due to the large-scale climate change caused by the expanded sun.
