"The Demon Girl Next Door" is a comedy, slice-of-life, fantasy that was adapted from the manga by Izumo Ito. It tells the story of a young girl named Yuuko Yoshida, who suddenly wakes up with demon horns and a tail. Along with these changes is the revelation of the truth of her family's history. That their family were the descendants of the Dark Clan. They were banished long ago by the Light Clan and their magical girls. They have since lived in hardship and strive to regain their powers once more. The only way for them to regain their power is by murdering a magical girl near the statue of their ancestors, the Demon God Statue.
Unfortunately, Yuuko is very mediocre, and possesses little skill to go against the magical girls. And it gets worse, when she is saved by a magical girl herself, named Momo Chiyoda, who is also her classmate. She must figure out a way to get stronger to save her family, and maybe finds strange friendships with her enemy along the way.
Further information on the upcoming season can be seen on the official Twitter account and official site.
