The official Twitter for the television (TV) anime series adaptation of Koharu Inoue's 'The Duke of Death and His Maid (Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid)' manga series has announced on Sunday, right after the final episode broadcast of the anime's current season, that the series is continuing for its second season. An illustration was also revealed to commemorate the announcement. Further details will be announced soon.
The recently-concluded first season of the series is animated by animation studio J.C Staff with Yoshiki Yamakawa serving as the series director. The series composition is written by Hideki Shirane, and characters are designed by Michiru Kuwabata. Gen Okuda and Takeshi Watanabe composed the music.

The series is based on the Japanese romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Koharu Inoue which has been serialized as a web manga via Shogakukan's Sunday Webry website since October 2017. As of February 12, 2021, it has been collected in ten tankōbon volumes with the first volume releasing on January 12, 2018.
Synopsis:
A Duke was cursed by a witch to kill everything he touches. Unable to handle this curse his parents send him to live in a far off manor. As his maid and childhood friend now teases him everyday, he wishes more than anything to rid himself of the curse.
