The first promotional video has been released for the TV anime adaptation of Makoto Hoshino's historical fantasy manga The Tale of the Outcasts (Romaji: Nokemono-tachi no Yoru).
The anime is slated to air in January 2023 and will be animated by Ashi Productions.
The series stars orphan girl Wisteria (CV: Ayana Taketatsu) who lives in a corner of the British Empire at the end of the 19th century. She leads a poor and desolate life until she meets Marbas (CV: Katsuyuki Konishi), a powerful but equally lonely immortal being with a furry appearance, hounded by hunters.

The Tale of the Outcasts (Japanese: ノケモノたちの夜, Romaji: Nokemono-tachi no Yoru) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Makoto Hoshino. It was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from August 2019 to April 2021, with its chapters collected in eight tankōbon volumes. The series is licensed for English release in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment.
