Japanese voice actor Yuki Kaji is celebrating his 36th birthday today, September 3.
Yuuki Kaji is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer affiliated with the agency VIMS. He began his voice acting career in the early 2000s by voicing supporting characters, often with innocent, childlike personalities. Thanks to his trademark "youthful" voice, he kept getting roles that portrayed naïve, idealistic teenage boys who remained innocent despite the challenges they encountered. Examples include Finnian from Black Butler and Shion from No. 6.
Imagine how everyone was so surprised he could portray an intense, aggressive personality like Eren Yeager of Attack on Titan! Thanks to Eren, Kaji-san has evolved into other roles that go beyond his previous "baby voice" stereotype. Some of his other famous, more recent roles include Shoto Todoroki of My Hero Academia, Nishikata of Teasing Master Takagi-san, and Kenma Kozume of Haikyuu!!
Currently: Kaji-san is still going strong as Eren! Part 2 of Attack on Titan Final Season is scheduled to broadcast in Japan in January 2022.
Did you know? Kaji-san married fellow voice actor Taketatsu Ayana in 2019. They co-acted in the series High School DxD as Issei Hyodo and Koneko Toujou.
