Adventure fantasy manga series "Orient" is receiving a TV anime series, announcement PV revealed

The official Twitter for Shinobu Ohtaka's "Orient" manga series has announced through an announcement promotional video revealed on Monday that the manga is receiving a TV anime series adaptation. It was also announced the same day that starting on February 9, the manga will be transferred to Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine. No other details regarding the TV anime were revealed as of writing.

The manga series Orient is written and illustrated by Shinobu Ohtaka, known for her previous works such as Sumomomo Momomo and Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. It was serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from May 30, 2018 to January 6, 2021 and will transfer to Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine starting February 9, 2021.

The story revolves around a 15-year-old boy named Musashi and takes place during Japan's Sengoku period. At the time, Japan is ruled by Demons. Musashi tries to confront the demons with a certain special power.
