Arknights: Prelude to Dawn, the Japanese TV anime adaptation of the Chinese RPG/tower defense gacha video game Arknights, has released a second teaser video featuring additional scenes.

The TV anime is produced by Yostar Pictures. It will adapt the Main Theme, making it canon to the Arknights storyline. No airing date has been announced as of writing.

The story of Arknights takes place in the dystopian world of Terra, which is constantly devastated by ecological disasters called Catastrophes. From the aftermath of these disasters, a black crystalline mineral called Orignium is produced.

Originium, while useful as a source of energy, is harmful to those exposed to it, inducing a terminal disease called Oripathy. Non-governmental pharmaceutical corporation Rhodes Island has made it their mission to aid the infected via skilled hires called Operators.

The protagonist of Arknights is a mysterious individual known only as Amiya. Amiya lost her memory after waking up in a mysterious Sarcophagus beneath the nomadic city of Chernobog, Ursus. She is rescued by Rhodes Island, who hires her to act as commander of the Operators.
