'Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War' releases 2nd PV for TV anime in October 2022

The 2nd PV introduces additional cast as well as the OP and ED theme songs.

Tite Kubo's hit manga series Bleach is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a TV anime adaptation covering the climactic Thousand-Year Blood War arc. The series is scheduled to air on Oct. 10, 2022 and is again produced by animation studio Pierrot.

Below is the second promotional video showing more scenes from episode one. It features the opening theme song Scar sung by Tatsuya Kitani. Meanwhile, the ending theme song is Saihate ( 最果て) sung by SennaRin.



The Thousand-Year Blood War arc is the final part of the manga's main story and focuses on Ichigo and cast fighting against the great evil of the series, Emperor Yhwach.

Bleach (stylized as BLEACH) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. It follows the adventures of the hotheaded teenager Ichigo Kurosaki (CV: Masakazu Morita), who inherits his parents' destiny after he obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper from another Soul Reaper, Rukia Kuchiki (CV: Fumiko Orikasa). His newfound powers force him to take on the duties of defending humans from evil spirits and guiding departed souls to the afterlife.


Bleach was serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from August 2001 to August 2016, with its chapters collected in 74 tankōbon volumes. Bleach received the 50th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shōnen category in 2005. In North America, the manga was licensed for English release by Viz Media.


The series has spawned a media franchise that includes a 366-episode anime television series adaptation by studio Pierrot from 2004 to 2012.
