The official Twitter for Bushiroad's Cardfight!! Vanguard series has announced on Tuesday a new two-season TV anime project titled "Vanguard overDress" for Spring and Fall 2021. The new anime is animated by Kinema Citrus with characters designed by CLAMP.
The first season of the new anime series will begin broadcasting on April 3, 2021 in Japan, and is listed with 12 episodes. The first episode of the season will be having an advanced premiere on the official YouTube channel of Cardfight!! Vanguard on March 24 and succeeding episodes will also stream on the platform.
The second season is slated to premiere in October 2021.
Kinema Citrus is handling the animation production with Bushiroad founder Takaaki Kidani producing the series. Ken Mori is directing the anime, and Bushiroad and artist Akira Itō are credited for the original work. Hiroyuki Saita is in charge of the character design for animation with CLAMP credited for the original character designs.
Music series BanGDream!'s band Roselia is performing the opening song "ZEAL of proud," while the band Argonavis from the same series is performing the ending theme song titled "Y".
