Death Note creators' 'Platinum End' TV anime reveals first trailer, series premieres in Fall 2021

The official YouTube channel of PONY CANYON anime has streamed on Thursday the first official trailer for the TV anime adaptation of Death Note creators Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's "Platinum End" manga series. All 24 episodes of the series will be broadcasted from Fall 2021.

The anime will be animated by Signal MD with Hideya Takahashi, who is known for "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind" will serve as the series director. The character designs will be handled by Koji Ooya, and Shinichi Inozume will be in charge of the series composition and screenplay.

The cast includes:

  • Miyu Irino as Mirai Kakehashi

  • Yui Ogura as Nasse

  • Natsuki Hanae as Revel

  • M.A.O as Saki Hanakago

  • Kaito Ishikawa as Uryu Kanade

  • Kikuko Inoue as Meyza

  • Tomoaki Maeno as Hajime Sokotani

  • Hikaru Midorikawa as Balta

The series is based on the Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata which has been serialized in Shueisha's Jump Square monthly magazine since November 2015.

The series' creators Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata is well-known to produce hit series including "Death Note" and "Bakuman."

As his classmates celebrate their middle school graduation, troubled Mirai is mired in darkness. But his battle is just beginning when he receives some salvation from above in the form of an angel.
