‘Tis that time of the year again when people pledge to change things up for the better to welcome the new year. Apart from adding to your routines, finding new hobbies, etc., sporting a new look could also add a bit of freshness and pizzaz to 2022. Let’s take a look at a variety of hair styles from anime characters which you can make your own to top off that new look!

1. Nozel Silva & Mei Mei's Braided Look

First up, here’s a style perfect for all the people growing out their hair during the pandemic. Nozel Silva, Captain of the Silver Eagle squad in the series Black Clover, and Mei Mei, a money-hungry first grade sorcerer from the series Jujutsu Kaisen probably go to the same stylist. This look probably takes a ton of effort in the beginning but as you slowly become the lord of braiding-hair-in-front-of-your-face, it’ll be a breeze. Their hair makes you wonder though, what’s their morning routine like and does their face perpetually itch?
2. Hair(t) of the Cards

Next, we have an iconic look from the greatest duelist ever, Yugi from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. If you want to go for edgy with a hint of laid-back, then this is the style for you. There are a number of ways to achieve Yugi’s killer bangs. First, you can find and solve the millennium puzzle! If that doesn’t work out, you can make papier-mache claws and stick them on your forhead. Last option, get a few liters of hair wax or pomade and hope for the best!
3. Max Edginess

If Yugi sported an edgy with a hint of laid-back look, this guy’s all-in on the edgy, sharp, and wild look. Zaraki Kenpachi, captain of the 11th Division within the Gotei 13 from the series Bleach, has this memorable hairstyle that looks like he got struck by lightning while something exploded in front of him, pushing the hair back a bit. It’s hard to tell if Kenpachi has a lot of hair to style or is it sparse enough to keep neat like that. In any case, you’ll probably need a few thousand liters of wax or pomade to sport this look. The eye-patch is optional but welcome!
4. Glowing Look

Here’s a look that will turn heads and blind eyes at the same time thanks to the powerful, iridescent glow and stylishness. Ragyo Kiryuin dons the perfect appearance for an over-the-top anime like Kill-La-Kill. On a side note, check out this series if you want a few audacious outfits to match your new hair. Ragyo went beyond tasting the rainbow with skittles and turned that rainbow into her own look. For us lacking the Life Fiber, we can melt a bunch of candies to make a special dye or attach a few hundred Christmas lights to our hair to get the look right. Don’t forget to blow dry for added flair!
5. Going for the Clean Look?

This might be the easiest look to copy; just shave everything off and polish! Saitama, the main character of One Punch Man, boasts a hairstyle that is actually a lack of hair (not by choice in his case). If you don’t want to shave everything off, you can take Saitama’s route and train every day until the hair just falls off! The added shine is optional but highly recommended. Confidence is a must! The cape is also highly recommended.
