Japanese voice actor Yui Horie is celebrating her 45th birthday today, September 20.
Yui Horie (堀江 由衣) is a Japanese voice actor and singer affiliated with King Records and VIMS. She is a veteran seiyuu who debuted in the 1997 Sega Saturn game, Voice Fantasia: Ushinawareta Voice Power. She won the award for Best Supporting Voice Actress in the 4th Seiyuu Awards in 2010 for her roles Minori Kushieda (Toradora!) and Tsubasa Hanekawa (Bakemonogatari).

She has also demonstrated versatility with characters such as the arrogant Aina Kuronuma from Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto, the serious Tendou Kisara from Black Bullet, and the strong-willed Yuki Cross from Vampire Knight.
Currently: Hocchan remains a long-standing name in the seiyuu industry. Some of her roles for 2021 include Arashi Spring from SCARLET NEXUS, Aileen from Shadows House, and Yūto Sakurai from My Senpai is Annoying.
Did you know? Hocchan began her voice acting career when she auditioned at the Japan Voice Acting Institute for a scholarship, the voice training school for ARTSVISION.
