The official Twitter account for the upcoming "Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night" film has just announced the theme song for the film.
The official Twitter post states that LiSA will be the singer to provide the theme song for the film, which will be titled "Go". The song is written by Ayase, member of the duo YOASOBI, and will be released earlier than the film's release. Song arrangement is byRyo Eguchi. "Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night" is set to release on October 30, 2021.
This marks the eight song LiSA has made for the franchise. Other songs she has made include "unlasting", "ADAMAS", "Catch the Moment", "No More Time Machine", "Shirushi", and the most famous song out of the franchise, "crossing field".
The film "Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night" will be a retelling of the first arc of the show, centered on the "Einclad" arc. But the project will take a different direction to the story, instead focusing on the perspective of Asuna, the female lead of the show. The original story author, Reki Kawahara, has written the story for the film himself.
