'Love Live! Superstar!! Season 2' releases PV for July 2022 broadcast

In season 2, the girls of school idol group Liella! are now sophomores!

A promotional video has been released for season 2 of TV anime Love Live! Superstar!! which airs on July 17, 2022.


As with season 1, the sequel is animated by Bandai Namco Filmworks under their Sunrise brand.

Love Live! Superstar!! (Japanese: ラブライブ!スーパースター!!) is a Japanese multimedia project co-developed by Kadokawa Corporation, music label Lantis, and animation studio Bandai Namco Filmworks under the "Sunrise" brand.


The project is the fourth installment in the Love Live! franchise after Love Live! School Idol Project, Love Live! Sunshine!!, and Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. Season 1 of the TV anime series aired on NHK Educational TV from July to October 2021.


The story is set in Yuigaoka Private Girls High School which lies between the Omotesando, Harajuku, and Aoyama neighborhoods of Tokyo.


The relatively unknown school is spared from being demolished after Kanon Shibuya (CV: Sayuri Date) and cast establish the school idol group Liella! Season 2 of the anime features the characters in their spring term as second years.
