New TV anime for 'Urusei Yatsura' releases 2nd PV for October 2022 broadcast

Urusei Yatsura All Stars starts airing on October 13, 2022! Both OP and ED songs are by MAISONdes.

A second promotional video has been released for the new TV anime adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's 1970s manga series Urusei Yatsura (Full title: Urusei Yatsura All Stars).


The reboot is scheduled to air on Oct. 13, 2022. It is animated by David Production.

Urusei Yatsura was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1978 to 1987. Its 374 individual chapters were compiled into 34 tankōbon volumes. It tells the story of Ataru Moroboshi and the alien Lum, who believes she is Ataru's wife after he accidentally proposes to her.


The original TV anime produced by Kitty Films broadcasted on Fuji Television affiliates from 1981 to 1986 with 195 episodes.


In this anime reboot for 2022, Ataru is voiced by seiyuu Hiroshi Kamiya while Lum is voiced by Sumire Uesaka.


The second PV features the opening and ending theme songs Aiue feat. Minami, SAKURAmoti and Tokyo Shandy Rendezvous feat. KAF, Tsumiki. Both theme songs are performed by musical band MAISONdes.
