Keigo Maki's manga series "Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san (Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie)" has been announced to receive a TV anime series adaptation through an announcement video streamed on Friday by the official YouTube channel of Kodansha's Shonen Magazine. No additional details have been revealed as of writing.

The manga series was originally serialized as a Twitter manga under the title "Kawaii dake ja Nai Onnanoko Manga". On February 2, 2019, the series started its serialization in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket and since October 27, 2020, the series has been published in English as Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie by Kodansha Comics USA.

Kodansha Comics describes the series as:

Shikimori seems like the perfect girlfriend: cute, fun to be around, sweet when she wants to be… but she has a cool dark side that comes out under the right circumstances. And her boyfriend Izumi loves to be around when that happens! A fun and funny high school romance with a sassy twist perfect for fans of Nagatoro-san and Komi Can’t Communicate!
