'Summer Time Rendering' TV anime adaptation scheduled for April 2022 as a 2-cour series by OLM

'Summer Time Rendering', the suspense TV anime adaptation based on Yasuki Tanaka's manga of the same title has been announced to be a 2-cour series scheduled for April 2022 broadcast. This was announced during the 'Summer Time Rendering' stage program delivered at the JUMP FESTA 2022 held today.

The series is animated by Studio OLM and will consist of 25 episodes. A new teaser visual was revealed.

A promotional video for the upcoming anime were revealed.

The series will also receive a game, and a live-action adaptation soon.


The Japanese manga series "Summer Time Rendering" written and illustrated by Yasuki Tanaka began its serialization in Shueisha's digital magazine Shōnen Jump+ in October 23, 2017. As of November 4, 2020, it has been collected in 12 tankōbon volumes by Shueisha with its first volume published on February 2, 2018.

Shueisha's Manga Plus describes the series as:

Upon hearing of Ushio's death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend's family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island. What mysteries await him on this secluded summer island?
