'The Prince of Tennis: U-17 World Cup' TV anime series reveals PV feat. additional cast, begins July

This is the first TV anime in almost ten years since "The New Prince of Tennis", the last anime in a TV series format, was broadcasted in Japan in 2012.

A new promotional video was revealed for the previously-announced latest TV anime project for 'The Prince of Tennis' titled 'The New Prince of Tennis U-17 World Cup'.

The PV features the additional cast members for the series.

The newly announced cast members includes:

  • Kentaro Tone as Germany representative: Jürgen Barrisavich Bork

  • Tomokazu Seki as Greece National Team: Zeus Iriopoulos

  • Subaru Kimura as Australia National Team: JJ Dolgias

  • Kazuyuki Okitsu as Switzerland National Team: Alexander Amadeus

  • Natsuki Hanae as France National Team: Prince Ludwig Shardal

A new key visual for the series was also unveiled.

The new TV anime series project is part of the franchise’s 20th Anniversary celebration held last October 2021. The 20th promotional video which was also released includes a throwback of the anime projects made since the manga's serialization in 2001.

About The Prince of Tennis

The Prince of Tennis' tells the story of Ryouma Echizen, a tennis prodigy who returns to Japan to join the Japanese tennis scene. After joining Seishun Academy, Ryouma Echizen will join his team mates in the journey to becoming champions.
