The official Twitter account for Kodansha's manga reading app, Magazine Pocket, has released today, November 3, chapter one of Todai Revengers (Tokyo University Revengers), the official parody of Ken Wakui's hit series "Tokyo Revengers."

Todai Revengers is illustrated by Shinpei Funatsu, who is known for writing and illustrating "Kindaichi Case Files Spinoff: Criminal Case Files."

The Todai Revengers parody features protagonist, Michitake Ichō, who lives in a shabby apartment with thin walls and is treated like an idiot even at his part-time job. One day, he learns on TV that his classmate and crush Yuuki Hayase has married a Keio University graduate. This prompts him to make a time leap back to seven years ago to enter the prestigious Tokyo University in order to "save" Yuuki and take "revenge" on his lackluster life.

About Tokyo Revengers

Tokyo Revengers (東京卍リベンジャーズ, Romaji: Tōkyō Ribenjāzu) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. It has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine since March 2017. An anime television series adaptation by Liden Films aired from April to September 2021.

The series features Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-year-old freeter, who one day learns that his middle school ex-girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, as well as her younger brother Naoto, have been killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang. When Takemichi is pushed in front of a train, he teleports exactly 12 years into the past to 2005. While reliving his middle school years, Takemichi meets with Naoto and divulges the exact date he and Hinata will die. When they shake hands, Takemichi is suddenly transported back to the present, creating a time paradox where Naoto survives and is now a detective. Naoto deduces that every time they shake hands, Takemichi is transported 12 years into the past. Using his knowledge from the future, Takemichi vows to save Hinata.
