The main promotional video has been released for the second cour of historical fantasy TV anime Orient, scheduled to air on July 11, 2022.
Season 2 will cover The Battle of Awaji Island arc. As with the first cour, the show is animated by A.C.G.T.
Orient is set in a fictional version of the Sengoku period wherein Japan is ruled by demons and samurai are considered taboo. The story revolves around a 15-year-old boy named Musashi (CV: Yuma Uchida) who dreams of becoming a Bushi (samurai) to fight the oppressive demons. Together with his best friend Kojiro Kanemaki (CV: Soma Saito), they set out on a journey to become bona fide Bushi and form their own samurai clan.
The main PV features the second cour's theme songs. The opening theme song is Break it down by Sōta Hanamura & Lil' Fang, while the ending theme song is Iro Chigai no Ito Taba (色違いの糸束, Unofficial English: Threads Bundled in Different Colors) by seiyuu Gakuto Kajiwara, who also voices supporting character Katsumi Amako.

About Orient
Orient (Japanese: オリエント) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shinobu Ohtaka. It was serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from May 2018 to January 2021 and later transferred to Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in February 2021. Kodansha USA licensed the manga for English release in North America. Season 1 of the anime television series adaptation by A.C.G.T premiered in January 2022.
