The final chapter of Fujita's Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga series is set for release in Japan on July 16. The 11th and last physical volume of the manga will start shipping on October 14. Included in the final volume is a special edition OVA DVD (OAD) adapting the ‘Employee Trip Times’ story from the sixth volume.
The Japanese webmanga series Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku written and illustrated by Fujita was first posted on Pixiv on April 17, 2014. It began serialization on November 6, 2015 in Comic Pool (a joint web manga publication project by Ichijinsha and Pixiv).
The manga was adapted into an 11-episode TV anime series by animation studio A-1 Pictures which was aired from April to June 2018 on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block. The anime was directed by Yoshimasa Hiraike, who also handled series composition. Takahiro Yasuda designed the characters, while Akimitsu Honma composed the music.
According to publisher Ichijinsha, the manga recently has reached 12 million copies in circulation, both for print and digital releases, since volume 10 was released.
