Dolls' Frontline, the Japanese TV anime adaptation for the Chinese mobile game Girls' Frontline, began airing in Japan yesterday, Jan. 7, 2022.

We're sure the opening theme BAD CANDY by artist yukaDD(;´∀`) got you hooked. But did you know she has been around long before Dolls' Frontline? And that she once collaborated with Momo of Kpop group TWICE?

Alright. First, listen to the amazingness of BAD CANDY.

And now, be wowed by yukaDD(;´∀`) all over again. She sung the song Superhero which is part of her first major release Album 21×21. This special version features a dance performance by TWICE's Momo.

How do they know each other? They apparently trained in the same dance school!

YukaDD's real name is Sakamoto Yuka (坂本有香). She was born in Osaka and is a former member of the girl group Little Glee Monster which she left in 2013. In 2017, she returned to the entertainment industry as a solo singer after winning a nationwide audition held by producer Nakamura Jin. Yuka's primary genres include R&B, hiphop, and pop.

Prior to singing for anime Dolls' Frontline, her song Bubble Up was used as the theme song in the 2019 drama/thriller Signal 100.

Her first digital single is Carry On, which was released on Jan. 10, 2020 under Warner Bros. Japan.

YukaDD steadily rose to fame in 2020 not just through her collaboration with Momo but also by releasing many more songs such as #goals and was@bi shock. As of writing, BAD CANDY is her latest music video.
