A shadowy showdown, birds being birds, and mushrooms everywhere! The second match is off to an intriguing start.

Summary
Students from the first match reflect on the battle while others prepare for upcoming fights. The second match begins and Class 1-B makes another bold attack to kick things off! 1-A’s Creati, Tsukuyomi, Invisible Girl, and Can’t Stop Twinkling face 1-B’s Battle Fist, Vantablack, Shemage, and Comicman!
Shadowy Showdown
Two students that often walk in the darkness find themselves facing each other in the second match. From Class 1-A it’s Fumikage Tokoyami, also known as the Jet-Black Hero: Tsukuyomi. And from Class 1-B it’s Shihai Kuroiro, also known as the Scheming Hero: Vantablack. Given Tokoyami’s Dark Shadow and the environment, Kuroiro has an overwhelming advantage! This little duel is quite exciting but Class 1-B has other things in mind.
Birds of the Same Feather
Tokoyami had the pleasure of working with the number two hero Hawks for his internship and hero-work studies. Initially, it seemed like Hawks was acting out of self-interest but eventually he was able to help Tokoyami realize something about his capabilities: do not stop working on your strengths. Hence, the Black Fallen Angel maneuver was born. This whole situation was a great example of a mentor-mentee type experience. Seeing other student’s character development is always a solid bonus!
1-B Plans Ahead
Interestingly, Class 1-B’s attack begins even before the match starts thanks to Kuroiro’s slight psychological manipulation of Tokoyami. They back this up with a surprise attack to throw Class 1-A off and it almost works but falls short. However, Itsuka Kendo showcases her brilliance and strategic acumen as she looks ahead and devises multiple plans of attack! Now, Kinoko Komori starts another attack with some mushroom madness.
VERDICT
Author's Rating: 8.3/10
This episode gave other characters a chance to shine (even though some are usually enveloped in darkness) and it was wonderful to watch. Although it was merely a ruse, the shadowy showdown to start the fight was intriguing and Tokoyami revealing his Black Fallen Angel was incredibly exciting. Of course, the fight went on and the rest of the students are about to take center stage! Looks like Momo Yaoyorozu will have a challenging battle of wits and strategy against Itsuka Kendo up ahead!
The second match has barely begun and things are off to an exhilarating start! What other plans are up Class 1-B’s sleeve? How will Class 1-A react to all the mushrooming? What will Yaoyorozu do? Find out next week as the joint training continues!
